Part 1 - Written Statement of Terms Part One of each template contract of employment provides a summary of key terms and the employee's details (as well as an introduction and welcome). They are also terms that need to be provided to an employee under legislation (the Employment Rights Act 1996) (please also see the document ‘Written Terms’). The first two pages cover this information and can also be used as a ‘quick’ reference when looking for terms specific to the employee, e.g. what is the employees notice period? Many of these are self-explanatory, e.g. the name of the company and the employee.
